Part B220-2214 is the nozzle bumper for the Titan T500 and Riccar S10 uprights, and it fits the Maytag M500 too. It is the strip that wraps the leading edge of the cleaning head and takes every collision with a chair leg, a baseboard or a kitchen island.
Bumpers do their job by being sacrificial. The material hardens over the years, the ends work loose from their channel, and eventually a section tears away. From that point the bare plastic nozzle is what meets your furniture, and you start seeing scuffs on white baseboards and dents in the head itself.
A fresh bumper puts the cushion back on the front of the machine. It is one of the cheapest parts on the vacuum and the one that protects the most expensive surfaces in the room.
