Product details
Part D486-3000 is the power nozzle motor that drives the brush roll on the Maytag M1200 upright.
Unusual noise from the nozzle, a brush roll that spins slower than it used to, or a drop in carpet pickup often traces back to this motor weakening rather than to the main vacuum motor. Once it can no longer drive the brush with enough force, agitation falls off even though suction at the hose feels unchanged, and the gap between what the machine sounds like it is doing and what actually reaches the carpet gets wider over time.
Unplug the machine before servicing the nozzle. Note how the leads are connected before you disconnect anything, and wire the new motor the same way. Photographing the connections while the old motor is still in place makes that easy to get right.
Confirm the M1200 model on your machine's data plate before ordering, since power nozzle motors are built to a specific voltage and mounting pattern and are not interchangeable across unrelated upright lines.
