This genuine Oreck top motor cover (Part #83040-01) fits the LW100 Magnesium upright. The cover seats over the motor housing, protecting the motor and helping maintain the sealed airflow path that suction depends on.
A cover that is cracked, warped, or missing exposes the motor to debris and lets air leak past the seal, which reduces suction and can shorten motor life. A sound replacement cover restores protection and a proper seal.
