Wider heads take their own trim, and 2303GS is the gray black bumper SEBO supplies for the ET-2 floor nozzle. The ET 1 / ET 2 power head diagram shows it at position 101 as the complete bumper, and despite the family resemblance it does not interchange with the narrower ET-1 moulding, which is ordered as 2302GS in the same finish.
Bumpers earn their keep along room edges, where the head meets skirting on very nearly every pass. The wear pattern reflects that: the corners go first, the retaining channel loses its grip next, and eventually a length of the strip stands away from the shell. Once the trim cracks or pulls out, those impacts land on the housing instead, and scuffs start appearing on the machine and on the furniture alike. A strip that rattles when the head is shaken has already let go of its channel even if it still looks intact from above, so check by feel rather than by eye.
Replacement is a direct swap along the front edge with the nozzle laid on its back. Clean the groove out before pressing the new moulding in, work from one corner across rather than pushing the middle down first, and run a thumb along the finished edge to confirm it sits level with the shell.
