SEBO Swivel Neck Slide for FELIX, ET-1, ET-2 and DISCO — Gray Black

Steering feel comes from the swivel neck, and the slide is the piece that guides it. Finished in gray black, 2945GS rides in the neck joint linking head to handle, holding the pivot on a controlled path as the machine is swept left and right along a wall.

SEBO draws this slide at position 119 on the ET-1/ET-2 power head sheet and at the same number on the FELIX diagram, one place after the button cover at 118 and one before the socket cover at 120. A slide worn thin lets the neck feel loose and vague; one that has scored or picked up grit makes the head fight every change of direction. Either symptom points straight at this part. While the joint is apart it is worth checking the two components that share the load with it: the six-piece metal segment set 2950ER at position 116 and the swivel neck bearing 2954 at 122. If the neck itself is cracked rather than merely worn, the complete gray black assembly is 2307GS at 113.
