Part B012-1000 is the agitator shaft for the Carpet Pro CPU-1 series brush roll, the spindle the roller and its bearings ride on. It is listed for the Carpet Pro CMP3QD, CPU1QD, CPU2T, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N and CPU4T, the Clean Max CMPSQD, the Fuller Brush FBPHD2T and FBP-14PWBP, and the Titan TC6000 and TC6000.2.
Shafts wear where the bearings sit. It happens slowly and stays invisible until you have the roller apart, at which point you find a slight step or a polished band at the bearing seat — enough to let the bearing turn on the shaft instead of the shaft turning in the bearing. From then on the roller runs rough, gets noisy under load, and eats bearings.
If you are replacing bearings on a high-hours machine, look at the shaft in the same job. New bearings on a worn shaft is a repair that comes back.
