The bottom plate is the panel that closes the underside of the nozzle and turns the brush roll chamber into a sealed airflow channel. This one, part C015-1500, is the plate for the Fuller Brush FBHD2T commercial upright, and it also fits the Carpet Pro CPU1, CPU1QD, CPU1T, CPU2, CPU2T and CPU3N, the Titan T4000, and the rest of the Fuller Brush commercial range including the FBHD1, FBHD1T, FBMM1T, FBMMPW, FBP14PW and FBPHD2.
Plates crack from being dropped and warp from heat and from being levered off. Either way the seal at the edges is lost, air gets pulled in from the sides instead of up through the carpet, and the machine stops lifting grit even though the motor sounds perfectly healthy.
A flat, unbroken plate is what puts the suction back where the dirt is.
