The handle bolt holds the upper handle to the body, and on a commercial upright it is the fastener that absorbs every pull, lean and drag through a shift. Part A232-0100 is the replacement for the Carpet Pro CPU-2T, the Titan T4000.2 and TC6000.2, and the Fuller Brush FBHD1, FBHD1T, FBPHD2 and FBPHD2T. It also fits the Carpet Pro CPU1QD, CPU3N, CPU4N and CPU4T.
They work loose before they fail. The handle develops a knock as you change direction, then a visible wobble, and the hole in the plastic starts to elongate around the bolt. Replacing the bolt early is a two-minute job. Replacing an ovalled handle housing is not.
If the handle already feels sloppy, check the bolt seat for cracking while it is apart — a fresh bolt in a split boss will be loose again inside a month.
