This OEM brush-roll clutch maintains proper agitator drive on the Carpet Pro CMP3QD, CPU1QD, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N, and CPU4T and the Clean Max CMPSQD commercial uprights. The clutch engages and drives the brush roll so it spins at full speed against the carpet.
Worn clutch and brush-roll components cause uneven spinning, extra noise, and cleaning that falls off over time. As parts wear, the roll can wobble, lose contact on one side, and accelerate belt wear. A sound clutch restores smooth, high-speed brush rotation.
