Dust compartment seal for Fuller Brush FB-PHD2T commercial uprights, part 54.134. It is the gasket that runs around the bag compartment opening, and it is what the cover presses against to make that compartment airtight.
Seals harden and flatten with age and heat. Once the rubber has taken a permanent set, the cover can be latched tight and still leak — air is drawn in around the edge instead of through the nozzle, so suction at the floor falls off and fine dust escapes past a closed cover. It is an easy fault to miss, because everything looks correct with the machine shut.
Fitment covers the Fuller Brush FBHD1T, FBMMPWCF4 and FBP-14PWBP, the Carpet Pro CMP3N, CMP3QD, CMP3T, CPU1QD, CPU3N, CPU3QD, CPU4N and CPU4T, the Clean Max CMPSQD, and the Titan T4000, T4000.2, TC6000 and TC6000.2.
