Dirt Devil Foam Filter - CE...

Product details

A foam filter measuring 3.5 by 1.5 inches, part 2790537600, for the Dirt Devil CE7900 Platinum Force extractor and for the Royal RY7910 and RY7940.

In an extractor the foam sits ahead of the motor, catching larger debris and any carry-over from the recovery side before it can reach anything expensive. Foam has a working life of its own: it packs with lint and fiber, and eventually the cell structure breaks down so the pad tears or goes limp and stops sealing against its housing. A collapsed filter is worse than a dirty one, because it passes debris while still restricting flow.

Rinse it between uses and let it dry completely before it goes back in, since a damp foam filter starves the motor and smells. When it no longer springs back after being squeezed, it is time for a new one.
