Part 305864G is the complete Rug Renovator brush roll assembly for Kirby's older uprights, the shampoo brush for the Heritage 1HD and Legend 2HD generation. It comes as a full assembly with its end fittings ready to mount rather than as a bare roll, which matters on machines of this age where the original supports are usually as tired as the bristles.
You need one when the bristles have gone soft and splayed from years of wet work, or when the roll turns roughly and squeals in the tray. Either way the shampoo action falls off, and foam gets pushed around the surface instead of being driven down into the pile.
It fits the Kirby D50 and D80, the Classic I CR, Classic Omega 1CB and Classic III 2CB, the Tradition 3CB, the Heritage I and Heritage II, and the Legend and Legend II.
