SEBO Motor Pulley for AUTOM...

Product details
The toothed wheel carried on the motor shaft is where belt drive starts on these machines, and SEBO lists it as 5462. It is drawn at item 143 on the AUTOMATIC X4/X5 sheet and again at item 114 on the AUTOMATIC X7/X8 sheet, titled there as the 2MR pulley.
What surrounds it on those sheets explains the mechanism. The X7/X8 drawing puts the pulley between the motor housing at item 112 and the belt adjuster at item 113; the X4/X5 drawing places the support lever and its spring at items 144 and 145, holding tension in the same run. Teeth that have rounded off can no longer keep the belt to its timing, so it skips under load, walks toward the flange and wears through far sooner than it ought to. The sound of that generally arrives before anyone notices the effect.
Where both have covered the same distance, renew the pulley and the belt together. A fresh belt driven by rounded teeth simply reproduces the original fault, and the pulley cover 5112SW has to come off either way, so the extra work amounts to minutes.
