Royal Secondary Filter - WindTunnel Style

A two-pack of secondary filters in the WindTunnel style, part 245, listed for the Royal UR30085. The secondary filter sits downstream of the bag and catches what the bag lets through, which makes it the last line of defense before air reaches the motor.

Because it only ever sees fine dust, this filter can look serviceable long after it has stopped flowing properly. Grey, packed media means the motor is pulling against a restriction, so the machine runs hotter and louder and the exhaust picks up a dusty smell. Owners who change bags religiously often never touch this one.

It seats in its housing in place of the old filter. Two in a pack lines up with a change every three to six months, and writing the date on the frame takes the guesswork out of the next one.
