Across white FELIX Premium and FELIX 2 Premium machines one assembly does the switching, and 7038WE is that assembly, delivered made up instead of as separate mouldings and contacts. SEBO puts the same item at position 23 of the FELIX sheet, illustrated there in the other trim shades.
People usually arrive here after a spell of unpredictable behaviour: bursts of running, a dead press, then everything fine again after the handle gets a shake or the lead a nudge. Worn contacts and terminals that have gone slack sit behind all of it, and once arcing begins the deterioration only continues, so replacing the unit outright is the reliable route. It also restores the correct white finish to the handle rather than leaving something mismatched in view.

Eliminate two other candidates before ordering. The switch lever 7032ER at item 28 is the mechanical side of this control and splits at its pivot as it ages. The internal cable 7071 at item 3 brings the supply up to the switch and breaks internally where it flexes, behind insulation that gives nothing away. Either impersonates a dead switch convincingly. Once the switch is confirmed, unplug, record which terminal holds which lead, and lift the handle cover.
