SEBO Hose Retaining Ring with Spring for FELIX Premium, FELIX 2 Premium and DART — Orange

SEBO's orange collar 7018OR arrives with the spring that loads it, and between them they hold a hose end captive in the machine body. Seat the hose and the spring pushes the collar into a groove around the cuff; operate the release and the collar retreats far enough to free it. Both drawings show the same assembly: item 38 on the DART sheet, item 27 on the FELIX sheet, the latter listed as retaining ring complete.

What fails is the load, not the moulding. Owners describe a hose that gradually slides out under its own weight while attachments are in use, or one that seats with a convincing click and then lets go at the first proper pull on the wand. There is a quieter version too: a collar that no longer clamps hard leaves the joint whistling, so the tools go weak while the floor nozzle behaves normally, which sends people to the bag and the filters for nothing. Since a slack spring and a worn collar look identical from outside, SEBO does not split them into separate numbers.

Orange marks the components SEBO expects a user to handle, which is why the 2937OR foot pedal and the 2909VO access door on the power head wear the same shade. Examine the hose cuff for scoring once the collar is off: a scored cuff will grind through a fresh collar exactly as it did the last one, and at that point the complete hose 7050SB is the honest repair.
