Product details
Plenty of uprights arrive at a workshop labelled dead with a motor in perfect health. 7038SW, the black switch assembly SEBO lists at item 23 of the FELIX exploded diagram for the FELIX Premium, is behind a fair number of those diagnoses.
Look for erratic behaviour rather than outright silence: power that flickers as the handle is repositioned, a machine that keeps going until it gets knocked, one that needs a second jab at the control, one that quits the instant the handle drops forward. All of it comes from pitted contacts and loose joints sealed inside the switch body, where there is nothing to clean, adjust or re-tension. What ships is a made-up unit, so the job runs disconnect, unclip, fit, reconnect, with no bench rebuild and no risk of pairing a fresh part with a worn one.

Mark each lead before it leaves its terminal. Where a switch has been changed once already and the same complaint returned, suspect the switch lever 7032ER at item 28 or the internal cable 7071 at item 3, both of which counterfeit a switch fault well enough to swallow a second part. The remainder of the Onyx group on this sheet reads: cable hook 7027SW item 15, bag housing cover 7093SW item 16, filter cover 7091SW item 17, lower housing 7173SE item 19, complete handle 7164GSSW item 21, handle release button 7082SW item 25. A SEBO-built assembly from authorized stock, on the move in 2-5 business days.
