SEBO Swivel Neck Support, Right-Hand, for AUTOMATIC X4 — Single-Screw Mount

Order code 5480 is the right-hand support at the neck of an AUTOMATIC X4 or X4 Boost, the pivot translating a push at the handle into a turn at the floor. It takes a single screw, is the version matched to chassis 5482GS, and appears as item 109 on the AUTOMATIC X4/X5 sheet, between the right-hand neck bearing 5101 at 108 and the left-hand support 5479 at 110.

What fails is usually the plastic around the screw boss. Once that has cracked, or the screw has worked loose in it, the base and the handle stop being held in a fixed relationship, so the head wanders off the line you point it down and has to be pulled back constantly. The same drawing offers the neck assembly 5729UL at item 104, which takes in the bearings and related items as one unit where damage has gone beyond a single support.

Note the cable route before lifting the tired support away. The replacement lands on the original screw point and the internal lead has to follow the same path, or it will be trapped when the neck is closed up. Cable clamp 2494 and contact holder 5176UL appear in that section of the sheet and are worth a look while the neck is open.
