Of all the wiring inside a power head, the run through the swivel neck is the one that actually moves. It twists and flexes with every turn of the head and every change of direction, and part 0876ER is the pre-made loom SEBO supplies for exactly that section.

Flex fatigue is gradual and then sudden. Strands break one at a time inside insulation that still looks perfect, so the brush roll starts cutting out at a particular angle of the handle, comes back when the head is straightened, and eventually stops for good. Work the new loom through the neck's full range of movement before the housing goes back together, so nothing is trapped, stretched or pinched at the extremes of travel. Repeating the original routing matters more here than anywhere else in the machine, because this is the one length of wire that will be bent several thousand times a year.
