This OEM foam filter replacement maintains proper airflow and filtration in your Bissell 3574, Bissell 6579-1, and other similar models. Foam pre-motor filters protect the motor from fine dust particles that pass through the primary filtration stage.
Foam filters can be rinsed under cool water and air-dried completely between replacements, but the foam material degrades over time and should be fully replaced every 6 to 12 months. A deteriorated foam filter collapses under suction, blocking airflow and reducing cleaning performance.
An alternative replacement is also available as part #19-2311-09. Check compatibility with your specific model when considering alternatives.
