Bissell Pleated Cartridge Cleanview Helix Filter

This is the pleated circular cartridge filter from Bissell's CleanView Helix machines, part 2031464. It seats in the filter well under the dirt tank, and the pleats give it far more surface area than a flat pad, which is why a Helix holds its suction longer than it otherwise would.

Pleated media clogs from inside the folds outward, so a cartridge can look serviceable and still be choking the machine. The tells are a motor revving higher than usual, a head that suddenly needs pushing, and dust blowing back out of the exhaust. Tapping the debris out helps for a while; once the pleats stay grey, replace it.
