SEBO's MECHANICAL line covers the unfussy end of the German maker's upright catalog, and the 300 is where that line starts. It is a bagged upright dressed in light gray with gray black, ordered as 91303AM, and it is bought by people who want the machine to do one job for a long time without a display to interpret.

Order the 300 and two bag packages are added free. It shares 5093AM with most of SEBO's upright catalog, which is why the part is easy to keep on a shelf, and sixteen bags will outlast a year of ordinary sweeping in most homes.

The appeal is containment. Everything the vacuum lifts finishes up inside a bag you remove whole, instead of a bin that has to be shaken out over the trash while a share of the fine dust drifts back into the room. That is also why the inside of a machine like this stays comparatively clean, and why the parts that do wear are the ones on the floor rather than the ones in the body.

Those wear parts are all listed individually. Bags are 5093AM in a box of eight, with 5093A3 and 5093A4 as cartons. Filtration parts run to the 5036AM microfilter, 5425AM in anti-odor form and 5812ER as the HEPA microfilter, with 50169ER and 50170ER as exhaust filter inserts. The brush roller strip for the 300 is 50415 — a strip rather than a complete roller, which is the cheaper way to bring a flattened brush back to full bite. 8366WS is worth having alongside it for cutting away wound-on hair.
