SEBO Bag Holder Spring for ...

Product details
Every SEBO AUTOMATIC X and ESSENTIAL G upright loads its filter bag collar against the inlet with a single coil, and part 5319 is that coil. SEBO's exploded parts drawing for the AUTOMATIC X7 and X8 carries it at position 15.
The spring does one thing continuously: it pushes the bag holder toward the inlet port so the collar of the bag stays clamped flat against it. Each bag change works the coil, and after enough of them the steel takes a set and stops returning the same load. The holder then rests where it should press. The collar lifts by a fraction, and from that moment a share of the airflow enters the fan side of the machine without ever passing through the bag. Two symptoms follow, and they arrive together. Pull at the floor head goes soft for no reason that a blockage check can account for, and a pale film of dust appears around the collar and across the inside of the bag compartment. Bags also tear more readily, because a collar that is not held square carries the load unevenly as it fills.
Because the spring is buried behind the holder, it is easy to blame the bag or the filters first. The quick test is to lift the holder by hand with the compartment open and feel whether it snaps back or drifts back. Anything less than a positive return is worth renewing while the machine is already open.
