Measuring 345 mm, this is the upper handle tube that carries the grip on SEBO's AUTOMATIC X and ESSENTIAL G uprights, and 5187 is the factory number for it. It is more than a piece of tube: it sets the geometry of the handle, takes the load every time the machine is reclined or lifted, and houses the wiring run travelling between the grip switches and the body below.
Tubes bend rather than break. Dragging a vacuum along by its handle, tipping it hard onto a stair edge, or catching the grip on a door frame all put a set into the metal, and a bowed tube then binds where it enters the neck. The handle stops reclining cleanly, the machine feels stiff at the moment it should drop back, and the pivot at the base wears faster because it is being loaded off axis. A straight replacement restores the original geometry and takes that strain back out of the joint.

Feed the cable through carefully during reassembly and refit the clamp — a loom left loose inside a new tube chafes on the cut edge every time the handle is raised or laid back.
