This is the small geared belt for the Bissell ProHeat Revolution family, part 1606419, and it fits the 1548, 1550, 1551 and 3579. It is the shorter of the two toothed belts inside the machine, so confirm which one you need before ordering; the large geared belt is a separate part.
A geared belt strips rather than stretches. When the teeth go, drive is lost instantly and the machine will run, pump and spray while doing almost nothing to the carpet. Owners usually notice the noise first, then find shredded rubber inside the belt cover.
Both belts sit behind the same access panel and they age at the same rate, so most people fit the pair together and save pulling the cover twice.
