Bissell part 1606431 is the complete six-row brush roll kit for the ProHeat 2X Revolution, covering the 1548, 1550, 1551 and 3579. The kit is not just the roller: the axle and the swivel arms come with it, so everything that carries the brush is renewed at once.
Bristles on a wet-cleaning brush wear faster than on a dry vacuum because they are working stiff, soaked carpet fibre. As the rows shorten and splay, the brush stops standing the pile up in front of the suction nozzle, and the machine starts leaving dull, flattened tracks even on a second pass.
Pull the old assembly, clear the hair wound around the axle ends, and drop the new one in. Doing it alongside a fresh brush belt saves opening the nozzle twice.
