Part 7143ER is the moulded compartment the filter bag lives inside on a SEBO upright — the chamber the bag collar slides into, not the door that shuts over it and not the bag itself. A single number covers three machines: the FELIX Premium, the FELIX 2 Premium and the DART, in both the newer and the earlier handle configurations, and including the Ice Blue finish. That breadth is why one part turns up on repair orders for machines of very different ages.
Three faults send people looking for a bag housing. Impact damage from a fall, or from a hard knock against a stair nosing. A crack radiating out of a screw boss, usually after the compartment has been forced shut once too often. And a sealing face pushed out of shape until the collar can no longer sit flat in it. All three do the same thing: they open a route for air to reach the motor without passing through the bag first. The machine keeps running and can even sound stronger for it, while dust that should have been captured travels on into the pre-motor filter and past it.
Worth ruling out before ordering. On SEBO's FELIX drawing the door that closes over this chamber is a separate colour-matched item at position 16 (7093SW in black), the filter cover is position 17, and the small spring holding that door shut is the cover latch spring at position 29, part 7024ER. A compartment that keeps springing open in use is usually one of those three rather than the housing behind them. A compartment that whistles, or that leaves fine dust on the pre-motor filter after every job, is the housing.
