SEBO 120V 1000W Vacuum Motor for FELIX Premium, FELIX 2 Premium and DART

Every SEBO FELIX Premium, FELIX 2 Premium and DART is built around a single 120 volt, 1000 watt suction unit, and 7041ER is that unit supplied as a service part. The FELIX exploded diagram carries it at item 8, labelled VAC motor. Do not confuse it with the smaller brush motor further down in the power head, which drives the roller and has a number of its own.

A suction unit rarely dies without warning. First the carbons shorten and the note the machine makes turns rough and noticeably louder. Then the bearings run dry and the sound climbs into a whine that carries across a room. Last comes insulation breakdown: a sharp electrical smell, a thermal trip, and a machine that will not restart until it has stood for a while. Where the racket is new but airflow is still there, begin with the carbon brush set 05140S, since carbons are consumable and a far smaller job. Where airflow has faded despite a new bag and clean filters, or the smell has already made an appearance, the unit itself has reached its end.

Item 7 on the same sheet is the seal, part 1047, and it is the reason a motor draws through the bag rather than around it. Hardened seals do not recover, so renewing one while the unit is out is straightforward sense; a fresh motor on an old seal never performs as it should. Adding a clean 7012AM pre-motor filter and an unused 7029AM bag gives the replacement the unobstructed path the design assumes. All of this sits behind the housing at mains voltage, so anyone not confident around it should hand the machine over to a service technician instead.
