SEBO Exhaust Filter Clamp for FELIX Premium, FELIX 2 Premium and DART — Gray Black

7017GS is the gray black exhaust filter clamp for SEBO's FELIX uprights and the DART. It is neither the filter nor the outer cover but the frame between them, and it is the piece that decides whether the pad underneath actually does any work.

Even pressure is the whole point. Air leaving the motor takes whichever route is easiest, so a pad lifted at one corner is a pad that a good share of the exhaust simply bypasses, carrying back into the room the fine dust the machine has just collected. The clamp holds the pad flat across its full face; the outer filter cover — 7091WE in white on these machines — then closes over the top. SEBO draws the exhaust filter itself separately, at position 41 of the FELIX sheet and at 24 on the DART sheet, which is a useful reminder that clamp and filter are ordered as two lines.

Being in the hand at each filter change, this clamp is the component most often broken during ordinary servicing rather than by accident. A locating tab snaps, or the frame splits across, and afterwards no amount of careful placing will make the pad sit down properly. Replacing it costs a fraction of the service it protects.

The gray black shade matches the rest of the gray black trim on these uprights, including crevice nozzle 1092GS, so a replacement does not stand out. While the compartment is open it is worth looking at the pre-motor side too, since both filters fall due on the same rough schedule.
