Three barriers stand between the carpet and the air you breathe on a FELIX: the paper bag, the pre-motor filter, and this one. Part 7095ER12 is the last of the three on the rosso machine, shown at position 41 in the FELIX parts diagram as the exhaust filter in red.

Because it works on air the motor has already handled, this element sees the fines that everything upstream let through plus whatever the motor itself contributes. A textile layer bonded behind the pleats stops the pack from flexing under a full airstream and adds a further stage of capture on the way past. When it is due, the machine tells you indirectly rather than directly: suction that has faded with a new bag in place, an exhaust that smells of dust rather than of nothing, and a motor note that has climbed. None of those point anywhere obvious until the outlet housing is opened and the element turns out to be grey.
