Hoover Clean Water Cap - FH52000 Smart Wash

Clean water tank cap for the Hoover SmartWash, part 440012813. This listing is the cap on its own, with no tank included.

It fits right across the SmartWash family: the FH52000 and FH52000G, FH52001 and FH52001G, FH52002 and FH52002G, the FH52005CDI and FH52005GCD, the FH52013 and FH52023V, and the FH53000, FH53000CPC, FH53000PC, FH53000PDI, FH53000TV1 and FH53010.

The cap seals the tank that feeds solution to the spray jets, and it has to hold against both leakage and air. A cracked cap or a gasket gone hard lets solution seep out down the side of the machine, and worse, lets air into the feed, so the spray turns weak and intermittent while there is still plenty left in the tank. Hand tighten fully and look the gasket over at each refill.
