This retaining ring (Part #H523) is a replacement ring that locks a component in position on the motor shaft of the Rainbow D3. Small as it is, it holds a part that would otherwise slide out of alignment.
If the ring pops off, whatever it secures can drift along the shaft, bringing on noise, vibration, or a loss of suction as the assembly runs out of true. Fitting a fresh ring pins the component back in place so the motor runs smoothly and quietly.

- Function: Locks a component onto the motor shaft
- Benefit: Prevents misalignment, noise, and vibration
- Tip: Seat the ring fully in its groove so it cannot work loose
The ring snaps into its groove on the shaft in place of the old one. Confirm your model before ordering to keep the assembly locked in alignment.
