The AUTOMATIC X7 Pet configuration is SEBO's answer to both, and it arrives already equipped for the work rather than leaving you to buy the tools afterward. A turbo attachment, an extension hose, an anti-odor filter, the brush-mode button and a headlight are all fitted or packed with this black machine, which is ordered as 91540AM.
Included with the X7 Pet are two boxes of SEBO's X-series filter bags, part 5093AM, sixteen altogether. Pet homes get through them quicker than most, because hair takes up volume without weighing anything, so the second box is not padding, and each bag caps itself on the way out so the fur stays put.

Mechanically it is a bagged upright from the AUTOMATIC X range, and that is the part that matters over a decade of ownership. Hair, dander and the grit that comes in on paws are drawn into a disposable bag and stay there. When the bag fills, it lifts out sealed and goes in the trash, instead of a clear bin being tipped up over a can and releasing half of what it caught. The anti-odor filter treats the air on its way back out, so what leaves the machine does not carry the scent of what went into it.
The brush-mode button stops the driven brush roll on demand, which is how you cross a bare floor or a flatweave rug without the roller flinging debris ahead of the head. Leave it engaged and the same roller works carpet pile so the airflow can pull grit from the base of the fibers. The headlight throws light along the floor immediately ahead of the cleaning head, where hair collects under couches and bed frames and is invisible in a normally lit room. For stairs, car seats and upholstery, the turbo attachment on the extension hose puts a spinning brush exactly where the main head cannot go.
