Mounting is a single screw into the existing boss on the body, so no drilling or modification is involved and an ordinary screwdriver is enough.

Attachment clips are consumable in the way hinges are consumable. Each removal flexes the arms a fraction wider, and after enough cycles the grip goes soft or the mounting ear cracks. A fresh clip restores a positive click, which is what actually keeps a tool with the machine.
